Whenever
you go to a foreign country on holiday, it is always a good idea
to learn some words of the language in order to make your stay
more enjoyable. Although it is not essential for you to learn
Thai before you come on holiday to our country, we do advise you
to at least learn some of these important phrases. We do appreciate
it when we meet tourists who have made an effort to learn our
language!
There
is one thing you need to understand before you start. Thai is
a tonal language. To get the right tone, it is very important
for you to hear a native Thai speaker when you are learning these
words. That is why we have sound clips on every page. You cannot
learn Thai properly from a phrasebook.
